Roger Favin (1904–1990) was a French sculptor active throughout the mid-20th century. Born into an artistic family, he was the son of sculptor Louis Joseph Favin and is believed to have learned his craft from his father. Raised in Paris from an early age, he developed a distinctive figurative style characterized by a strong interest in silhouette and movement.

From the late 1920s onwards, Favin regularly exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, becoming a full member in 1933. He worked in a variety of materials, including wood, bronze and terracotta, and also produced models executed in ceramic. Female figures, maternities, dancers and African-inspired subjects occupy an important place within his sculptural vocabulary.

Combining stylized forms with a strong sculptural sensibility, Roger Favin’s work reflects the artistic experimentation that shaped French decorative sculpture during the mid-20th century.
