Jacques Moniquet was a French designer active during the second half of the twentieth century, best known for his sculptural silver jewellery created in the 1960s and 1970s. Part of the renewal of contemporary French jewellery, he developed a distinctive formal language based on folded metal, favouring geometric volumes, clean lines, and rich surface textures.

His creations are distinguished by an architectural approach to jewellery, in which silver becomes a true construction material. Bracelets, necklaces, and pendants reflect a constant search for balance between formal innovation, restraint, and modernity.

Through the singularity of their design and their distinctly modernist aesthetic, Jacques Moniquet’s creations rank among the most original expressions of French jewellery of the 1970s.
