Throughout his career, he combined technical mastery with a modern approach to form and decoration, producing both utilitarian ceramics and sculptural works distinguished by their refined glazes and strong decorative character.\r\n\r\nIn 1949, alongside Pol Chambost, he organized the first Salon des C\u00e9ramistes d\u2019Art de France, which later evolved into the Salon des Ateliers d\u2019Art de France. \r\n\r\nA major promoter of contemporary ceramics, he served as president of the Chambre Syndicale des C\u00e9ramistes and played an important role in the development of French decorative arts during the second half of the twentieth century.
