Carl Auböck (1900–1957) was an Austrian designer and artisan, part of the renowned Auböck workshop in Vienna, specializing in objects in metal, brass, wood, and leather. Born into a family of designers, he modernized the family atelier by combining traditional craftsmanship with functional modern design.
His work includes decorative objects, furniture, desk accessories, and household items, celebrated for their clean lines, elegance, and meticulous attention to detail. Carl Auböck’s creations are considered emblematic of 20th-century Austrian design, influencing the international design scene in the postwar period.
