Founded in Paris by Alexis Falize and later brought to its peak by his son Lucien Falize, Maison Falize ranks among the most important French jewellery houses of the second half of the nineteenth century. Renowned for the exceptional craftsmanship of its enamels and its fascination with medieval art, the Renaissance and Japonisme, the house played a significant role in the emergence of Art Nouveau. Its creations, combining technical innovation with decorative refinement, were awarded prizes at international exhibitions and are now held in some of the world’s most prestigious public and private collections.
