Catherine Noll (1945–1994) was a French jewelry designer whose work ranks among the most distinctive expressions of art jewelry produced during the 1970s and 1980s. The granddaughter of sculptor and designer Alexandre Noll, she graduated from the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris before dedicating herself to jewelry design, developing a highly personal style in which sculpture and ornament became inseparable.

Her creations are distinguished by organic forms, sculptural volumes, and the use of natural materials such as ebony, ivory, rosewood, rock crystal, and Plexiglas. Drawing inspiration from nature as well as from tribal art, her jewelry emphasizes the beauty of materials, bold contrasts, and fluid forms, resulting in a body of work that is both refined and unmistakably contemporary.

Recognized for the originality of her designs, Catherine Noll collaborated with leading French luxury houses including Christian Dior, Chanel, Nina Ricci, and Baccarat. Today, her works are represented in the collections of the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain and are regarded as some of the finest examples of French art jewelry from the second half of the twentieth century.
