Biography: 1942 First solo exhibition at the gallery Art French in Lyon. In 1950, Yvon Taillandier abandoned painting in favor of Literature (art criticism, art history). Collaboration for fourteen years to the Journal Connaissance des Arts and Review twentieth century. He was secretary of the Salon de Mai Committee for 44 years. The Yvon Taillandier painting is figurative, narrative and constantly creates a fantasy world with his characters, his événements.Inventeur the “Taillandierland”, the painter describes this invented world and its inhabitants, its universe. Mixing image and language, Yvon Taillandier demands of a literary painting.
